Leave it to 2020 to have the Toronto Blue Jays being the team in on every player in free agency. What is this year?
Every big name free agent has had interest from the Jays, and that is a strange thing. Not only have the Jays barely been competitive for the last 30 years, but the Canadian dollar doesn’t do so well next to the USD when it’s in millions.
George Springer has apparently stated he is considering the Jays for his landing spot. This move makes the most sense for Toronto because he would be a good fit, and fill a big hole they have at the top of the lineup.
Trevor Bauer is the next big name that’s been linked to Jays interest, and I highly doubt this one would happen. With that being said, Bauer is such a wild card who knows what that guy is going to do. I’d love to see him in the AL East, but preferably for the superior Red Sox.
Francisco Lindor will receive a lot of interest from many teams, so it’s not surprising that Toronto was after him. This one makes sense because they can shift Bichette to 2nd where he belongs, and that would be a terrific
