The Rogers Centre formerly known as the Skydome is not a real ballpark and I truly hope they remove it, and build a new facility.
For years players have complained about the fields surface and Toronto has made improvements to it, but it is time you build a proper field for professional baseball. Especially as the Blue Jays are beginning to put together a future contending team.
The rumours that are floating around now appear to have this being a tear down and replace the stadium that is owner funded. This is huge for the taxpayers who won’t have to pay for this like they did in 1989. It is a bummer for those early rumours that indicated a waterfront ballpark with a splash-pad for long homeruns!
I’ve read a lot of complaints about this change, and a new ballpark. I can understand if this was Wrigley or Fenway being replaced, but I don’t understand why Jays fans don’t like this change.
Help me understand why!
