Baseball. Baseball was one of the biggest things in my life that feels like a void right now. I received a comment from a follower about how she didn’t realize how big of a piece of her life baseball played, and I connected with that.
Baseball for me isn’t a spring to fall season, it’s year round. In the offseason I monitor free agency, the winter meetings, and watch reruns of my favourite games and championships. During the season I try to go see the Red Sox at the Rogers Centre, Fenway Park, and one new location. I also play at the Welland Stadium and haven’t been able to enjoy that feel this year.
It’s my place to go when things are good or bad, it’s my release. My closest friends are ball fans, we play ball together, we talk ball together, and that is what I miss most right now, due to this pandemic.
